ribbonsWhat An Exciting

Show Season!

Coach Emily is so proud of the Black Fox Show Team participants!

Kaitlyn Madson, Hannah Dickson, Emma Tolbert, Ashlee Kugler, Lauren Kugler, Shelby Maynor, and Laney Copeland made up the  B.E.S.T. team from Black Fox POAs & Riding Academy.

Brianna Kugler was a new B.E.S.T. team rider late last season. She managed to attend a couple of shows in fall of 2013 to get her feet wet, but this year she jumped in with both feet! Brianna rode the been-there, done-that gelding, My T Rex, "Ty". We were very excited to see Brianna in the ring with this competitive pony. After showing in 2013 on TLF Zip's Hale Bopp, Kaitlyn Madson showed a new pony in 2014, Ima Keeper, "Pal". Kaitlyn and Pal worked on becoming a team this and went "National" in 2015! Watch for their continued success! Hannah Dickson started the show season  on "Gunner" or CC Plaudits TwoBaby, and enjoyed this cute dark bay gelding, but eventually found pony love with Ziggy, better known as Element of Sir Prize. She and Ziggy will be a team again. After helping some in our riding academy, Gunner will now return home to IL to be shown by his very young owner in w/t classes. We wish them great success! Lauren and Ashlee Kugler shared "Zip", TLF Zip's Hale Bopp, this year - along with Leadliner Laney Copeland. Ashlee showed western classes and Lauren rode in english classes. Laney Copeland used Zip in Leadline classes. Laney was a star and brought home plenty of blue ribbons as well as numerous High Point awards. Shelby debuted at POAC shows this year. She has shown in our Open show program, B.L.A.S.T., in the past, and was able to fit in a couple of POA shows in the fall. Shelby rode RVP Here For The Party, also known as Jordy. What a cute packer this pony was. They certainly enjoyed their shows together.

Leasing To Show

For those students wishing to lease a show mount or POA for the 2016 show season, February is a great month to finish any paperwork, pay your lease fees, and get started preparing to show in the spring. The first TN POAC show is in April. The 4-H or Open show team will show in late March. Don't miss out! 2016 is going to be an awesome year!

We will have Ziggy, Raven, Bess and Cookie will be in the show program for 2016 and are in the process of finding a couple more capable show ponies to add to our POA roster for 2017, so come be a part of the fun! Our students will have a great year learning to show and loving their POAs! Special thanks to Alexis Kirby of Tennessee (and her girls) for allowing us to lease "Ty" in 2014. Also to Renee Tordai in Illinois for leasing us "Gunner" in 2014. Thanks go out to Leah Roehl for allowing Kaitlyn to take Pal to state and national POA shows in 2015!
